'04 900 MC Speedometer Key Keeps Breaking (bearing replaced)

I am looking at buying an 04 900 Mountain Cat and the owner said the speedometer is not working, and the key has already been replaced twice this year. He said the bearing was replaced last year, so he didnt think that was the problem. Only 900 miles on the sled.

Any ideas? I dont want to buy it if this is indicating bigger problems.

It's either the bearing, the cable housing, speed-o drive or the speed-o head. No big deal.

Or the bearing has elongated in the tunnel holes due to a loose assembly. Tip the sled on the left side and look for marks in the tunnel indicating the bearing assembly has moved. If it has you could have some tunnel damage, not sure how to fix that.

The times i have seen this it was the angle drive the the key goes into and the cable hooks to. They are cheap and easy to replace.
