Mountain cat died?what causes this?

Got a 03 m/c 900 carb second time in the past 3 weeks it died. Both times breaking trail on the lake going around 6500 rpm andf it just died. pulled it over 2 times and started again ran fine. what could cause this? could a bad coil? are they known for having bad coils? any help would be appriciated thanks

check your tank vent to ensure air can get into the gas tank

Do you have the handle bar kill switch unplugged? I had a problem with mne grounding on the frame and killing spark for a sec.

Did it seize and then let go? First time I laid over my carbed KK I was not even aware that it had happened. Ran fine for quite awhile until it happened again(the following season) and my more knowledgeable buddy brought me up to speed on what actually happened when it "just died" while booming down the trail. It's how we learn. Could be the kill switch though.

It could be like JayO said and had a light seize. 6500 is probably the leanest spot for them.
