Yes that is how it has always been. I think Cat was ready to release the 18 sled in 16. The engine wasn't ready so they released some of it in 16, then a little more in 17 and the rest in 18 to keep the Proclimb from going stale. If I was rich I'd just buy one of each:)

I'm not usually the guy that complains about pricing but it's a bit of a risk to buy a first year sled and a BRAND NEW ENGINE! You'd think they'd want some free testing and feedback and not charge extra for the guys willing to take a chance. Nothing like real world testing by actual riders to find all the issues and mistakes. Cat is going to really build a great engine to out do the Suzuki.
