So I've got 1999 Arctic Cat Jag with a good 340 Fan but my friend drove it into a guardrail on the side of a road and destroyed the chassis. Bent the frame and broke the A-arms on both side. I recently came up with the idea of putting the motor in a 70's arctic cat. Has anyone done this before? If so how difficult would it be? I think it would be pretty neat.

It is easy to make a motor plate, clearing the steering shaft can be tricky. The engine needs to be mounted to get proper offset for the clutches and so you can use a easy to get belt with proper defection.

Are we talking mounting the motor above the tunnel, or ahead of the tunnel? Chaincase is on what side? Better yet, what model exactly are you thinking of doing this with?

It's all possible, just a matter of time.
