Not sure about the 8 tooth clearance.

I have the 3" track with 7 tooth 3.0" pitch drivers and will be switching to the 6 tooth 3.5" pitch from Avid Products.

From what I understand, the larger the pitch, the larger the column of snow that the leading paddle creates for the next paddle to push off of and so on, which translates to more/ quicker lift.

Also wider pitch = less rotating mass. Might be splitting hairs for the average Joe, but I'm not overly impressed with the stock 3" track. I don't hate it, but if there is something better, I figure it's worth a try. Can always go back to my 3" if the 2.8" sucks.

Spoke with Tracks USA today. In a 174 there is 18 lbs difference between the x3 and the conquer. I know for a fact the x3 works, but that's a lot of weight. Wish I had a better feel if it will hold up.

The first production 165 3.5" pitch tracks were made today. The first ones weighed in at under 42 pounds. They expect all the tracks to weigh less than 43 pounds.

Maybe it's been discussed. Are there any opinions to a 3 or 3.5"
Pitch set up?

Seems like it's the debate today around the water cooler with my buddies.

I ordered the 3.5" pitch and I already had the 3" setup. I guess I believe the theory behind the 3.5" enough to pony up for the added cost of swapping drivers and adding an anti stab.

Anti stab? I thought Robbie has Polaris style drivers for the 3.5.

What about driver contact? Any issues there?

Will there be enough adjustment in the rear axle to accommodate the extra 3" of the 165? I guess if you have to move the skid back it might not be necessary to trim the front of the rails to clear extros.

He has both, but with 6 tooth and boost, I wanted dual anti ratchets on the clips, not in the rubber in the center.

Think the 154 2.8 3.5 pitch would fit on 155 sled with stock rails? Would be slightly shorter track and slightly bigger drivers

155x2.5 is a 154 just like skidoo.
155x3 is a 156.
Either way the 154 with a 3.5 pitch should fit.

I have a chart from Camso that shows the modifications required to put a 3.5" pitch track on all the sleds. Only Cat and Yamaha require an offset axle. The rest is just a driver change.

Track length

Is camso going to make this track in a longer length than 165"?
A 47 pitch track is 164.5"
A 50 pitch track would be 175"
Does the pitch need to be a odd number?
A 49 pitch track would be 171.5"
A 51 pitch track would be 178.5"
I'd like this track in the 175" length range.
