I have been riding a 600 for a few years now and want to switch to a 800 but don't want to spend the money. Was wondering what would be some cheaper mods to get some extra horsepower for the upcoming season.

You could always swap in an 800.

Should be pretty straight forward.

Or turbo it.

If it were me. I'd turbo the 600.

Sell it and buy an 800, nothing is really going to get you any real seat of the pants difference without spending some decent money.

Also, since the 600's are much less common and fairly popular with smaller and female riders they tend to go for good money and the 800 market is so saturated you can find some really good deals on them.

660 is probably the best bang for the buck on a 600.
But like said above if you want mor power move up to a 800 axys not a pro 800. More reliable motor in the axys.

without a doubt sell the 600 and get a 800. Here in MN 600s sell for the same if not more then 800s. You will spend $ on the 600 to get it close to 800 in performance and when you go to sell it with your mods you will get zero dollars of that back! i am not afraid of the older 800s just get 13 or newer and check compression. just my 02

A well tuned (clutched) 660 with a 163" will give a stock 800 the fits if the rider is under 200#. If he is in the 150# range, Katie bar the door.

the 600's have a ton of potential!! You can do our pipe mod, muffler, and v force reeds and pick up nearly 10 hp.

But the 660 kits work phenomenal!!

They crank out awesome and reliable power!
Basically bringing your machine to 800cc horsepower.

I have been doing these kits since 2006, they work. And you can crank the miles on them just like a stock machine.

We also have them on sale right now with a spring special at only $1450 to do the top end.

The 660 runs a little more Rpm that the 800, I run them at 8350-8450 with our pipe mod. The new Axys motor makes more power, but the 660 is more in line to the Pro800 motors, mid 140's. But the 660 kit is kind of a over achiever. You don't have to go hogg wild on the porting to make them work well, and the longevity of the pistons great.
