as i was going to widen my ski stance i found once i moved the
spacers to widen the ski stance i could not get the bolt through
the inner side of the ski hole, i looked later at it and i see
that the rubber ski damper is taller on the edges than in the middle
i think this higher part of the rubber damper could be why i could
not line up the ski for the bolt any suggestions ? thanks

yakima, wa.
Need more weight on the a-arm to compress the rubber.
U can run a ratchet strap from the upper a-arm under the ski to help compress.

Use a couple of 2x4s or a block and a prybar to pry up on the edge of the ski. Tap the bolt head with a hammer and it should go through.

This is the method I use a couple/few times a season stuffing the cat rubbers into the grippers.
Once it starts in on one side of the ski, might need to pry the other side of the ski as well to make it go through level.
