the rails shaved off 8 lbs, the reverse 22 lbs

total weight savings = -30 lbs, very big difference riding the 2 sleds, i would recommend the 09. you can lose another 14lbs by replacing the suitcase muffler and another 5-6 lbs with a boss seat, m1000's are heavy in the nose anyway

The rails shave off 8 lbs? The rails on an '08 cannot weigh 8 pounds in the first place. So they cut some more holes out, that might have been 8 ounces, MAYBE. Or perhaps you're talking 8 pounds in the entire rear skid and rear end from the different bumper, 2 wheels, etc...???

1. Electronic reverse= dropped a lot of weight and less likely to fail, the mechanical DD's had some problems but the new ones have cheesy bearing. ( I have almost 2000miles on 09 and no problems
2. Powerclaw track= single ply track, eaier to turn and from my experience stronger, also the best track on the market by far, no lugs missing on mine yet, all hard miles
3. Lighter rails= lighter, but the also cut them in so they dont hang up when trenching and gives you the full potential of the powerclaw track, if you just put a PC track on the 08 its not as good until you cut the rails
4. Telescoping postonly on the snow pro models

5. total weight loss from a 08-09 is 22lbs from a 07-09 is 31lbs according to AC

6. Better fuel map

These were the big selling points. May have been more.

To make a 08 an 09 you would be looking at over $2000
