Replacement for Delaminating Stock 3” Track

What track is everyone considering for replacement of the stock 3” track that is delaminating? Since the manufacturer is not standing behind any warranty consideration we need to find a good replacement.
Any thoughts?

If it were me I’d track down a used 2.5” Doo track or maybe even a 15” wide 2.6” Poo track. The 2.5 and 2.6 tracks seem to be getting up on the snow better in a lot of situtions than the 3. Poo guys seem to be seeing this a lot now that the 163 2.6” is available and more guys are going for it rather than just the 3.

When did BRP start with these 3,5" pitch tracks?

There are not much to chose from to replace them... I see Talon has one and Camso also has one but that's about it.

The track on my -19 fell apart this weekend with less than 750km on it... Awaiting verdict from BRP on warranty.

Ski doo went to the 3.5" pitch track in 2017 with the Rev Gen4

Yes, I have read some people went back to the XM T3 track. You will need to change your driver.

The driveshaft will fit but Doo changed the pick up for the speedo. The G4 pick up is recessed in the shaft whereas the XP/XM protrudes. The inside of the shaft has a shoulder machined in it to hold the new style pick up. I modified a G4 shaft to accept the XM pickup to put a 165 on my T3.

You can "make" it work but>

Changing the drivers would be the better option IMO for your G4.

Hmm... now you got me thinking. I have a tear I repaired on my G4 3", has held up for over a 1K miles, but I know it wont last another season. I have a T3 track in great shape. Drivers are cheaper than another 3.5 pitch track. Wondering what the trade off would be going back to the smaller pitch, had real good luck with that T3 in the deep stuff

SHR will be in IP this wed night. We are at the Sawetell.

I imagine you have a good memory of the T3 track, You are welcome to throw your leg over my 15' with the 165 on it.

Dam decent of you for the offer Fez, cracked a rib Saturday, wont be in the saddle anytime soon. After thinking on the 163 in a G4 swap, not so sure things are gonna fit up, learned a long time ago that two inches is a lot in the track swap world... You wont be disappointed, snow's the deepest it's been here in years, with that said spring riding conditions are in effect

Put an xm drive axle and 15X174 track on this fall, everything bolted right up. speedo worked too.

No noticeable performance change, but not missing all those lugs like last year.

Will the Camso 9341m mount right up to a 2018 summit 850? It is a 3.5 pitch 2.8 lug 154" 15" wide. My track is a 154" 3" 16" 3.5 pitch track. If it will mount up what performance difference should I expect?

Thanks

Hate to put it this way, but since Skidoo is a no-show for standing tall on their 3” tracks I pulled the trigger on a Conquer 280. Was told that the 280 comes with a 2 year warranty. That’s way better than the Skidoo no-year warranty.
We’ll see how the 280 works out and I’ll report back.
