Does anyone know why the coolant bottle cap on an 07 M seems to be hard to either get on or off! Even hard to take off after unscrewing cap you have to pull up or smack it with a rubber mallet.

Is there an easy fix?

push down hard on cap as you turn off and on...it goes smooth then..has pressure threads

Correct. If you have stripped threads, just replace it...but if they are good, you have to push down to get it to grab. Usually you will have to pull it up to release a slight bit as well.

Im on board with this problem, what a pain. Makes me nervous to take the cap off.

Heres another one that needs to be pryed off. I am thinking of buying a nwer/used one off the bag.
