As the Icing on the cake... for me at least .. Polaris Industries invited me to pull together a small group of our members for the FIRST TO RIDE session this morning on the new 2013's at Daniels Summit Lodge in Utah. :face-icon-small-ton

I'm sitting here in the lodge in Utah typing this as our sleds wait for us...

A HUGE Thank you to Polaris Industries for the opportunity to put together a good cross section of people to ride the new new

Our ride today I get to bring along:
Coyotegirl (Brandy, ladiesride.com)
ModSldr (Brent)
Phatty (Geoff, Boondocker Films)
Mountainhorse (Eric)
Turbolover (Charlie)
2cool4u (Tammy)
Jared Sessions (Boondocker Turbos)

Polaris brought along their engineers and some press people to boot.. so I'll wear them out with some questions...
Marty Sampson... Engineering Program Leader
Andy Mills ... Engineering supervisor
Scott Ostroski... Engineering Manager.
Chris Wolf... Director, Snowmobiles

If you have any questions (and be respectful PLEASE) post them up and we'll ask them from the ride today and post them up with Tapa-Talk.

Really looking fwd to putting them through their paces today... or at least watching the real pros like Phatty throw-down... Lol

Eric, we are expecting pics, vids and honest ride reports...too cool man..have a blast for sure......My question for the engineers would be why not change to a better head that would add reliable power?..of course i am sure it has to do with emissions....

Any changes to the motor at all?
Cover over the belt drive?
Any 2012's there for direct comparrison?
Is MSRP shown for sled or for contest package as a whole?

Have fun, be safe, and tell us what you think!

Are there any possible track changes planned between now and delivery time? Or is the 5.1 gonna be around for another season.

Thanks Mountainhorse! Enjoy the ride today!

Interesting, I wonder if they have something up there sleeve. They know Ski-doo is coming with something to talk about. If its over the top I suspect they will bump the HP to one up them, but then again maybe not. I was in Togwotee when Chris B was there and he talked with us one morning at breakfast and said he could not believe the little things that Polaris did to make this sled that much better. We tried to get more info from him but he said it truley feels like a whole new sled, and wouldn't elaborate much.

Questions on the 2013 Pro-Rmk?

Mountainhorse,

#1. What changes are there to the engine if any?

#2. Is there any changes to the clutching? Team Tied?

#3. Any changes to the track to include tunnel clearance?

Enjoy the ride! Looking forward to your impression of the new ride.

Can you ask them about MSRP so we can clear this up? Thanks
Their "share your moment" on the web site says, US $14,500. Canada, $15,500.

How often do you have to change the belt on the new drive?
I don't care for the white color and size of the windshield but I would guess there will be many options.:face-icon-small-hap
