Measuring crank run out question– Can 800 VES motor crank run out be the measured with motor in Sled or does it have to come out? What tools do I need for this measurement? Thank you guys.

It can be measured in the sled.
You will need a good magnetic base and a dial indicator.
Pull the plugs out of the motor, polish the crank end with some scotch brite, mount the dial indicator and slowly pull the motor over.
