Proclimb M1000 build tread

Just wanted to share our build with you guys. We are installing a m1000 engine in a 2014 proclimb. Everything looking good so far.
We are set with the TCL, and will do rest of the engine mounts after the new year weekend.
Engine is ported, and wil be run with PCV and SLP pipe. We had SLP pull one pipe from their production before welding brackets and coating. So we will weld all brackets on our self, and wrap the pipe at the end to keep to the heat.
Looking for 180-190hp with lots of torque, should make it for a special one.

No, just for the 800. For the M1000 you would have to do some modification.

I know. It would require some machining and welding to make it fit the 1000. Until theres a better solution, we will run the modified stock TCL, or atleast until it breaks of the vibrations from the big twin.

Finished motor mounts today. Final install of engine now, and a few coolant hoses to modify before starting at the pipe fitting.

Looks good! That's some heavy plate, 3/8 or 1/2"?? If the modified TCL works, you could shoot me the dimensions of the mounting holes and I'll draw one up in SolidWorks and convert to MasterCam for the tooling pattern. If you ever wanted to have a new solid piece machined, you would have the file to do so! Cool Project!

3/8. That was what we had by hand. And its thicknes was perfekt to archive the proper hight in the chassie. It could have been cut out more to reduce weight, but this one we made by hand, so the effort was limited. It will be redone in the offseason, then in a cnc.

Making progress slowly. Started hacking up the Slp pipe to make it fit into the chassie. Did shortend it in an inch to make it fit. As a bonus it should pull abit more rpm.
Also had to relocate 1 coil to gain acces for the sparkplug.

man i am a huge fan of the m1 but with all the 900-950 kits out there based of the m8 bottom end why the push for the m1k.? btw love the build tho!!!
20 lbs of crank are hard to hide.

The owner is a former m1k owner, and he just love the torque. He dont like the 800. Keeps telling it is just making lot of noise, but no power. The big bore option for the 800 are endless yes, but when they have them all, there`s no fun building one.
Just like doing it different. And there`s no 800 big bore that beats the torque of a well tuned 1000:face-icon-small-win

Got the pipe fitment finished and tacked up today. Silencer is also tacked up. Stinger yet to tack up before final welding to be done.
It is a tight fit with the 1000 pipe, and it will need som heat shield against the plastic couple places.

Finished the pipe install. No it only need paint and heat shielding before it is ready. Some small things left now, and the wiring. Should be up running in 2-3 weeks if all goes as planned.

Pipe fits in good, but it would have been alot easier to make it fit if we had gone for Stm exhaust valves. This cat valves sure do take a big amount of space under there.
