Picked up another mountain max, needs a top end, I'm going to use my spare top end on it. It melted the mag side piston, looks like the seal was leaking in the crank case. I need to find out the best way to get the mag & PTO bearings off the crank. Took 5 tons on my press to get one off a junk crank I'm practicing on. Also thinking of welding the pins on this one while it's out, anyone done this before?

If you want a little more power and a cleaner bottom end take them cylinders to a machine shop and have a 1/4" cut off the cylinder skirt on the intake side..

The skirts have been cut on the sides as you can see in the picture, can you safely take more off the bottom? I've got a stock set that I'm going to use on this engine, I'll try that with them before I put em on.
