That is disappointing since the 800 tested was only low by 6 hp and 2.5 on torque.

For the comparison to be relevant the 800 should be retested during the same session.

Didn't say I was disappointed in the 800 Etec, 5.9 HP and 2.6 TRQ over the 800 Etec was disappointing, #s that can be matched or improved with a few bolt on products for the 800 not to mention the big bore market.
Ordered a 165x3 X 850 to possibly replace the TMS872 that is currently ridden.

IMHO...

a bone stock/untouched 800 etec is only 163-164 HP and 104-105 tq...

so its not exactly 10 HP more...but its a solid 7-8 HP and 6-7 TQ along with new clutch and track it will be a better "over all" package vs a stock XM...BJ

It's up now on jims site. At dynotech 170.4

called Jim to get his feel on this baby before calling the dealer to order..

he says air for dyno session was very humid and replaces oxygen, also said fairly warm 50f weather...

he's pretty happy with those numbers and once some timing is added and lower humidity he sees an additional gain for the 850..

keep in in mind now this is the same dyno that gives the new poo ho motor a number of 154.9, the 16 Etec 800 a number of 163.6

also mentioned how smooth this motor was to dyno and some runs were back to back to back..

Good job doo.. Can't wait to boost

For sure.. If dynotech don't come close to 175hp on the 850cc doo than something smells fishy..

What was the humidity when the poo motor was tested Fred? Lol.

Congrats to doo on the new motor, sounds like it'll be a ripper.

Look at it this way still stock form 28 more HP than Axys so can't be all that bad--they must be doing something right--going to be a good sled

SnogHost nailed it!

The Gen 4 will easily stand above it's peers, as it should really.

ANY increase in horsepower over previous XM models is a factual improvement anyway you slice it up. Does that mean it a real game changer ? Probably not IMHO, but none the less more HP = more HP
