always wanted to try Tog but the extra drive from Illinois keeps us in the Snowies every year. How much further is it and how are the roads to get there?

I stay at mountain meadow cabins a lot. So I have an old polaris 12.5 gallon fuel tank off a XLT with a 12 volt electronic fuel pump on it. Try to find a tank or two and bring your own fuel up there. You can save a lot of money.

As of Oct 20th, here is what their web site says:

Will fuel be available?

This is one of the most frequent questions we are asked. The Lodge has historically offered gas, but it will not be available at this time. When we purchased the Lodge in October we were informed that the tank did not meet EPA standards and could not be used. Due to the significant investment of resources required to fix the Lodge and cabins we were not able to instal a new tank that would meet all standards before this winter. We encourage guests to bring up extra fuel in tanks to use daily and run back down to Centennial as needed to fill up. We would also greatly appreciate feedback regarding this issue, as we have heard from some that fuel is vital and from others that they always bring their own fuel.

Please feel free to contact us with any other questions at admin@snowymountainlodge.com.
