My next question....is there anything off of the 02 Edge chassis that will work on my Gen2 Chassis in the conversion??

My RMK is at my brothers house so I don't have a side by side comparison right now....:faint:

Tunnel extension wont work on the Gen 2 tunnel... Swap is your only route... Its really not that hard of a swap.... Honestly if you dont think you can do it just buy the edge and swap engines over.

Simplest is to get a Gen II tunnel extension. Polaris calls it a tunnel close off. OEM part number 5245059 $87.37 from Polaris. This is off a 01 with a 151 tunnel. Remove the rivets in the cooler and 136 extension and replace with the 151. Pull a measurement from the drive shaft back to the front suspension mounting hole on the edge chassis and make sure you mount the suspension in the same place on the Gen II. Also measure the distance between the front mount and the rear mount on the edge chassis and mount the rear in the same spot on the Gen II. The 151 hose covers are part numbers 5433752-070 and 5433753-070, $35.41 each.

If you moved your motor to the edge, you would need to have the edge motor straps, carb adapters, air box and hoses. Also your pipe will need some modification. Like I said extension is easier.

This can get you the front mounting location.

I put an Edge skid in my 2000. I made an aluminum plate into a jig that I could clamp to the tunnel. I used an Edge chassis with the front driveshaft in place to predrill the front and rear location holes into the jig.

I also got some rear support straps from a donor sled for the rear mounts and riveted them in place for the newly relocated rears.

I had to move the front brackets as well. The 2000 uses 1/4" rivets which were kind of hard to find. Fastenal if I remember correctly.
