EXPO is recognized worldwide as the "Largest Snowmobile Event in the West."Arctic Cat, Polaris, Skidoo and Yamaha will unveil their new 2012 snowmobile lines for the first time to the public at the same location. Hundreds of new aftermarket exhibits will also be on display at the West Yellowstone Holiday Inn, center for the 2011 EXPO. This year combines annual favorite racing events with competitions including freestyle aerials and a Toughman Enduro Race. Yellowstone Park tours by snowmobile and snowcoach will also be available through EXPO.

Mountain West Racing 2011 finale will be held during EXPO at the 21st annual SnoWest Snocross.

Don't miss 'dialed in' Snowmobile Snow Drag races competing in the 8th annual Snow Drags March 12th & 13th sanctioned by Washington State Snowmobile Racing Association (WSSRA). Starting pads enable everyone equal start conditions, as 2 lanes of head-to-head racing will take place this same weekend. The radar run takes place on Friday, March 11th; drags on Saturday and Sunday.

Visit the annual Western States Vintage Snowmobile Association displays and demo's at the race track, super charged Casino Fun Night plus watch the infamous 120s races on Saturday where parents and grandparents race thru the eyes of their children.

EXPO 2011 will feature high-flying aerial antics on Saturday night, 7 PM at the SnoCross Track. Octane Addiction will be putting on a great show. (There will be a separate $15.00 admission for the night aerials.) Don't miss Dane Ferguson's World Record attempt at a 120-foot backflip.

EXPO 2011 will once again offer a TOUGHMAN ENDURO Race scheduled for Saturday, March 12th beginning at 2:00 P.M. Three-man teams (using the same snowmobile, a stock 600cc or less) will compete to see which team can finish the most laps in the designated time. Back FOR 2011!The EXPO SWAP MEET will be held Saturday, March 12th, 2011 from 9:00 AM through 5:00 PM. A limited number of spaces will be available for a small charge. The meet will be located on the south side of Madison Avenue between Canyon and Dunraven Streets. Shuttles from EXPO venues will stop at this location. The swap is for snowmobile and recreation items (no household items). Click here for more information.

New to this year's EXPO will also be an exciting, thrilling and inspiring sport-bike freestyle shows for bike fanatics of all ages offered by Swoop Productions LLC. Shows will take place at 4:30 PM on Friday and Saturday, at a downtown West Yellowstone street location. (There will be shuttles between the different venue locations.) The Team Swoop performance will showcase spills-n-thrills, burnouts, tires blowing up, crazy circle wheelies, insane stoppies, acrobatics, and more! Swoop stunts Harley sportsters, Buells, and XR 1200s for all V-twin fans. The EXPO performances will include Rob Carpenter from Billings, MT, Chris Rayburn, from Pensacola, FL and alternate rider, Zach Zappone from Seattle, WA.

First Time to EXPO? Racing and other outside events take place just west of Iris Avenue on the 'old' airfield. Bleachers are constructed from huge snow piles and sit high so you can see down into the snow course track and aerials area. Make sure to dress warmly, bring an outdoor chair, or blankets too. There will be hot and cold beverages, and food available as well. You can park near Iris or along Yellowstone Avenue, or just at your lodging. Free shuttles will run throughout the day and early evenings from the race area to the Exhibition Hall at the Holiday Inn to motels and hotels, and by the Swap Meet and Motorcycle Freestyle.

What's New

There are a couple of changes for this year's EXPO!
Octane Addictions snowmobile Freestyle Aerials are going to move to Saturday night under the lights at the race track. Once the Saturday afternoon events are completed, the stands will be cleared and and the track will be setup for the aerials. At 6:00 PM the gates will open for seating and the aerials will start at 7:00 PM. A beer garden and food will be available.

As part of this year's aerials, Dane Ferguson will be attempting a new world record back flip of 120 feet. The ramps will be set up specially to accommodate this jump. Good luck, Dane! Bundle up, bring something warm to sit on and enjoy the show!

Also, new for this year is a new event -- Street Bike Freestyle! Swoop Productions will be putting on two shows at 4:30 PM on Friday and Saturday. The location will be downtown West Yellowstone. There will be free shuttles running from the snow track to downtown locations all day and through the evening. There is no charge for this great event.

Swoop will be using Kawasaki 636 and Honda F4i bikes. These bikes have a long list of safety and performance modifications. For the show on ice they will be studding three sets of brand new Shinko tires with Kold Kutter studs to get the traction needed to get the bikes up in to a wheelie. If the weather turns warm and allows for a dry section of pavement, Swoop will have to scratch the ice riding and prepare for the most extreme street bike stunt performance West Yellowstone will ever see! The Team Swoop performance will showcase spills-n-thrills, burnouts, tires blowing up, crazy circle wheelies, insane stoppies, acrobatics, and more.

Admission prices for EXPO are going to be $15.00 per day for the race track and Exhbition Hall. The Saturday night aerials will be an additional $15.00. The Swap Meet and Street Bike Freestyle are free admission. Kids (12 years of age and younger) have free admission to all events. There are savings for multi-event and multi-day passes. A number of West Yellowstone hotels and motels are offering additional savings if you bundle rooms and EXPO tickets. Don't miss 2012 Sneak Peek & Ultimate Playground Spring Tour
Arctic Cat, Polaris and Yamaha will debut the “Sneak Peek” western tour at the World Snowmobile EXPO, March 11-13^th, 2011 in West Yellowstone, Montana. Each manufacturer will offer a peak at new 2012 models, including 15-18 sleds from each manufacturer…that's 50+ new snowmobiles on one show floor all at the same time.

Snowmobilers can see, touch, sit on and inspect the sleds that will be at their dealer in the fall. You can also take advantage of the special incentives that are offered during the spring buying programs can be made with first hand inspection of the various models.

New for this year's EXPO will be the BRP Ultimate Playground featuring the first chance to see the 2012 Ski-Doo snowmobiles up close and personal. As a special show incentive, visitors will receive a chance to win a $50,000 BRP dream garage – the opportunity to fill their garage with their choice of BRP products. Special coupons will be handed out at each tour stop and visitors can go online to check their fortunes.
The Ultimate Playground Tour, as a stand-alone event, steps up its offering by providing more products to view, interactive displays, product specialists to answer questions and more time and flexibility to look around. “Consumers have been asking for one venue to see all BRP products,” stated Marc-André Dubois, Director of Marketing for Ski-Doo. “In today’s business climate, manufacturers need to be creative and address these changing desires. We have answered with the Ultimate Playground; a one-stop display of all BRP products which makes it much easier and a less time consuming buying experience,” Dubois concluded. Customers can expect to see current Can-Am ATVs, side-by-side vehicles and Spyder roadsters, Evinrude outboard engines, plus Sea-Doo watercraft and boats in addition to the 2012 Ski-Doo sleds.
