I would like to start a discussion on the reasons for different size drivers and their apparent benefits or deficits , either tested or anecdotal .

I'm thinking they went for the smaller drivers in the 154 and longer tracks to reduce the weight of the track by changing the pitch.

The smaller driver also gives more clearance in the bulk head which allows the snow to evacuate easier , less drag ?

With the smaller drivers there are less teeth in contact with the track , so wouldn't this increase the effort or power required to pull the track around the drivers ?
