The old unit came right off with out any trouble at all.

This gave me an opportunity to take a peek inside of the Intercooler.
Was very happy to see it was still in PRISTINE condition inside!
No contamination of any kind had crept into it.

Only real difference on connecting and reattaching the new one was that it only needed ONE line. The boost line from the intercooler was SEALED OFF and not used any longer.

Bolted it back on and closed up the engine.
Will take it for a ride this weekend and report back if I can tell ANY difference at all.

With the new updated MPI BOV installed, I am going to get Moto's new "Super Secret Squirrel" Clutch kit in today.

Good work Christopher!

Im curios in one thing.. if you could remove the hood and check if the valve bypass any air at idle or light throttle (just before engagement rpm)?

Does this valve come with different springs like the old one?

We've used this valve on sleds making over 25psi with the same spring. This valve is by far better and more reliable then the older design.

Well, I now know I am producing 9.5lbs of boost!
That my AFR run from a low of 11.2 on very hard acceleration to a high of around 13 other than at idle, with most of the time spent at 12.2-12.5 and the "Rich" warning lite going off on my gauge.

And I now know what the BOV "chuckle" is that Moto was talking about.
The new MPI BOV sounds very much like someone laughing.
Not at all sure I like the new sound over the old.

Your afr seems to be in the safe lane! On what elevation did you get 9.5psi?
The top boost reading really did NOT seem to be greatly impacted by my elevation change. At Wide Open Throttle I was making 9-9.5 all day long.

Altitude ranged from 6-8,000ft all day long, with most of the day spent at 8,000

Ready to try out a good bypass valve now?

BTW, what adjustments did you have to make to your fuel controller to go up 3.5 lbs of boost?

Sent from Moto's iPhad

I am always game to try out new products, you know that!

As far as adjustments go.
Made NONE.
And based on the AFR readings, it really don't look like anything is needed???
Your program is doing a terrific job of always keeping the AFR in the RICH zone. I don't think it EVER once went lean on me the whole day?
I can now say that your BRIDGE is a MAJOR SAFETY DEVICE for a boosted sled!
