doing a resto/ mod on my 98 i herd some where that the chassis was the same as the 99-01. found an old cmx belt drive set up that is extended 3" as well and would give me a nice drop and roll. will this work on my sled? or at least fit the shafts that i could make it work? tia

Yes, the chassis on the 97/98 and the 99-01 (non tipped in trailing arms) are the same. Just the body work changed. Shafts, chaincase location, etc are all the same.

So yes, if it was built for the 99-01 standard trailing arm RMKs then it will work.

X2, same as Sledguy.
A couple years ago, a buddy blew the chain case in a 98 RMK. I replaced it with one from a 2001, case, gears, chain, direct bolt in.
