Just bought a hold over 16 xm 154" T3 and I run a HPS can and ride at 6-9000 feet, I weigh 235 ready to ride. The first ride I took on it I had the clickers on 5 to pull 7900rpm. Wondering if I could benefit from a clutch kit from someone? Kind of heard that people were happy with the factory clutching so just wondering what others have found.

One step higher on finish rate I'll bet. A Doo black spring, part number 417127039 works well. Initial rate is 157, just like the stock blue/blue 417127118, but has a finish rate of 303 instead of 221. Better backshift.

Since I rarely see much on actual, complete clutch setups on the forums (other than "I run so&so's kit") here's my full setup. 13' 800etec 153", homebrew "T3" setup. Also attached a few resources I've rounded up. I enjoy some level of tuning myself, not trying to knock the kit's out there at all.

Doo purple/pink primary spring (414949500), 441 ramps (less aggressive than T3's with 438), 13.6g pin weight, 40degree helix, black driven spring (417127039), T3 drivers, 20/49 gears, with a 3" Cat track. It's working well. Excellent backshift. Using a little softer belt, Doo 288 belt. 9500-11k feet, I weigh 175 dressed to ride. Clicker 3 or 4 depending on snow. Clutch is also 1.5lbs lighter than stock, with an oil light busing in the spring cup. Clicker 3 probably feels the best IMO but sometimes if the snows heavy & air temps are high it just won't pull 7800-7900 without going to clicker 4.
