OVS TURBO QUIET MUFFLER

OVS has developed a muffler for the turbo charged sled's. This muffler has been desible tested and is 10 desibles quiter than the mufflers that are being ran on the turbo sled's now. The muffler has a 3" inlet and outlet.The muffler has been dyno tested and does not cause any power loss over the existing 3 inch staight through muffler design. The muffler is only 2lbs heavier than the existing muffler system that is being used. This will be a great product for those who are tired of the noise or are in states that are starting to inforce noise resrictions. This muffler is available for all OVS Tial turbo systems or in a universal muffler for other turbo systems. The sled at 0-15mph the sled has 92.3db and at wide open throttle it has 90db. This test was performed at 50ft away on the exhaust side just like stock sled's are tested. The sled with a straight pipe off of the turbo at 0-15 mph was 107db and wide open throttle was 135.7db. The sled with the 3" straight through muffler at 0-15mph was 100db and at wide open throttle was 125.6db. The sled tested is a M-1200 turbo full race at 18lbs of boost. We have developed this muffler and dynoed it yesterday again and had 0 power loss. We also tested are 99 Dodge cummings it tests 99db just reving the motor up no wonder it is hard to talk around the truck when it is running. We will have the testing complete with the M-8 turbo next week it is just finishing it's dyno runs to make sure there is no power loss with the new muffler.

Yes the old style muffler is standard in the kit. The new muffler is optional.

The muffler is done making it's final dyno runs and we will be running it on the grass first of the week. Final desible readings will be posted and we will try to take some video of one sled with and one sled with out the muffler and get a link to the videos posted for people to see. Thanks PLT
