What belts will fit an '05 900 besides the 3211115?

I am looking for cheaper alternatives for spare belts. I haven't been around this sled for a couple years since I upgraded and can't remember what other belts would fit it. There use to be 3 options from Polaris. I believe the 3211080 was the cheap one and the 3211111 was middle of the road that has since superseded to the 3211115. Does the 3211080 fit this sled or not? Also what are you guys running for aftermarket brands and what do they cost? Maybe if you could include where to purchase the aftermarket brands, it'd help. I know I used to have the best luck with the cheap or mid priced Polaris, they actually lasted longer than the 115 on average for me.

My research concludes that the 1080 Polaris belt does fit so I exchanged the 1115 I bought for 2 1080's!!

You are asking for problems!!! The 1080 belt should not be run on a 900 plus if that 900 was previously running a 1115 belt then the primary clutch was shimmed for the 1115 belt. Those belts will blow and when they do it's the kiss of death for the crank. Good luck in your journey!!!

Running the 080 belt, as Cerial said, is asking for issues...the 115 belt was actually invented for the 900 to help with blowing belts (after they tried the 111 belt).

It was sent out as a "good faith" replacement for a while.

Blowing a belt while under load... can lead to crankshaft issues like broken PTO snouts or bearing issues.

IMO.... this is the best belt for the 900's.... and tougher, IMO, than the new Gates Carbon people are running on the ProRide/AXYS sleds. (that would be my second choice for the 115, not the 080)

I've run the 1080 belt for years previous to the sled sitting, with better luck than I ever had with a 1115 belt. Lasts longer and half the price. As far as disintegrating a belt, my 900 has only done that once with no problems. You can say I live on the edge but when you get more miles out of the cheap one, why would you buy the expensive ones? I'll let ya know when it gives me crank or seal problems but don't count on it as this one has over 4,000 miles primarily running the 1080.

I am thinking about getting Carlisle XS809 or Gates 44c4553 . anyone got any experience on them?

I've got 3 seasons on a XS809 on my 900, I keep it and the clutches clean on a regular basis and it still looks really good. I've run them on all the IQ's we've had for several years without a single failure.
