Curious how many have bypassed the governer without taking out the plastic gear in the motor? I know the safest way is to pull the gear, but it's it a anomaly for them to break, or common?

on the Polaris 120 I just used a small zip tie to hold the spring tight.....effectivally bypassing the gov for the youngest

I'm bypassing mine as well. I've heard that on occasion the plastic great inside the block will break because of the high rpm's obviously causing a lot of problems with the shrapnel of the gear going through the motor.
I was just wondering if a lot of people have bypassed the govener without having problems from not removing the gear.
