1999 RMK 600...Any good???

I finally found a sled in my price range.:) It is a 1999 RMK 600 all stock with 3300 miles. What would you pay for this sled in really good shape one owner? WHat should I look for and what kind of issues did these have? Thank you in advance!

We still have 2 of these with 11000 plus miles on them. Rebuilt engines at 7500 and they had no wear.

I have 3 of the '99 SKS700's and a '00 SKS700, 2 of the '99's have 10K for miles with a rebuild, the '00 has a rebuild due to my son's neglect!!! Oh yah, the 3rd 1999 SKS700, wife drives it, and just turned 5000 miles on it, but no rebuild, she doesn't take it above 40MPH on a good day!!!

the 600's are good sleds I was looking for an older 700 earlier this year but found a 00' 600 at a swapmeet this year. Asking price was only like 1200 but got it for 850.(he said make an offer) really good deal imo for a pretty clean stock sled never wrecked shows about 2300 miles. I did have to replace a few wear parts though, and a limiter strap?. I think the hyfax were even stock since they were gone except the ends.(not good for the rails)

I have two 1999's a 600 and 700.

Good machines. The only common problem, to both of them and others I am told, is the head on the bolt holding the gear on the end of the drive shaft
fatigues off and it (or the washer under it) eventually ends up between the gear and the chain in the chaincase with bad results. Replace the tension washer with a regular washer and the bolt with a grade 9 bolt (Tacoma Screw) and you should be good.
