So what is normal for a PG 2010 M8 peak running RPM ?

I understand that Turbos need more load, I am just trying to understand what is normal 7950-8000 ?

I know all of the varriables can effect things, but at the end of the day what should one be aiming for ?

I always targeted stock RPM .... when I upgraded to the BD pipe, I picked up about 400 rpm, which was right where BD said I should be with that pipe .... so I'd say 7800 RPM would be where you want it.

edit: Now that I reread your post on the '10 HO I don't know ..

Do you have the 09' head? I have an 09' PGT with the '10 head right now and I'm running 8200-8250 on it, which is right where BD said I should be.....

Mmmmmm...............

No it has the H.O head. Maybe its worth dropping a little weight I need to see what I got in there I cant remember what we used.

Peak is 8000 max, closer to 7950. I guess what I dont know is if its worth chasing 200-300 RPM on a turbo sled. I am still new to all of this. If 8000 is fine then so be it

I figure if I'm within 200 rpm of where I'm "supposed" to be its good enough.

The other thing about that, that 100 rpm in heavy wet snow might translate to 300 rpm in the fluff ....

Kinda nice how that EBC works, if i think I'm over-revving I just dial the boost back 3/10ths of a PSI and then I'm usually pretty close to where I'm "supposed" to be ...
