How reliable are the 2012 600 pros? I have a friend looking at one for his son. He was curious if they had motor problems like the early 8's?

As long as they aren't overheated, the 600 is pretty much bulletproof.
Have over 7100 miles on mine so far, 4600 in one season as I just got it 18 months ago, so far so good. I'll keep going until it has issues then rebuild it.
They are bulletproof.

12 600s are almost bulletproof no belt drive or bonded a arms and I have never heard of any motor trouble with them.

Bought a rental that had 3600 miles on it. then I did another 300. just did a new top end on it this summer and she will purr like a kitten all year. Check the compression before you commit to one so you know how the motor looks. When we pulled the pistons they showed signs of cold seizes so make sure you let er warm up good before you get on it.
