I've got a 06 m7(was an m6) thats using twice the fuel of my 2011 m8. not sure why,any ideas? thanks-Dan

How bad is bad? I get 7-9 MPG on my 2006...my impression is that is typical for an M.
If you are running an attack 20 track in hillclimb position that may reduce fuel mileage.

2005 M7 - 7 mpg in powder; 10 mpg on the trail. 7000 feet elevation. 141 powerclaw.

I would look at the clutching first, it can make a hugh difference. My M8 gets probably 7 or 8 on an average days ride, you only getting 3.5 to 4?

Don't go by the fuel gage. My M1000 drops to 1/2 a tank in about 20 miles, and the my M8 reads 3/4. Both use about the same amount of fuel at the pump.

Your 700 will work harder to spin the track in the same conditions as the 11 m8. My 04 600 rmk worked great in the deep snow, but used much more fuel on the same ride with my 05 800 rmk. Both 144's. Like said previously, reclutch it.

I run a mostly stock m8 and my brother runs an m7. His sled has always burnt quite a bit more than mine.
