Looking at buying an M8. What are the big differences between the 07,08,09?

Get an 09 if you can afford it. They are 22 lbs. lighter, have a tapered tunnel, improved rails and running boards and electronic reverse. The 09 Sno Pro models have the deluxe gauge package and the telescoping steering post as well.

The differences:

07 - Mechanical reverse(bad) - coil rear suspension
08 - Mechanical reverse(bad) - fox float rear suspension
09 - Engine Reverse(good) - DD bearing failure(simple fix though)
10 - HO Engine w/ reverse -DD bearing failure(simple fix)

07 and 08 almost identical other than 08 sno pros come with the float skid. Think there is an ecu map change to help hot starts, but that is about it.

09 is a different animal. Cleaner map, electronic engine reverse, powerclaw track, tunnel is 6" shorter, LED break light and redesigned tunnel section, and 22lbs lighter than 08 chassis. sno -pros also get the adjustable riser and premium gauge w/ altimeter.

The 09 is where it is at.

The 08 also has a newer running board design than the 07, and was cut back and changed a bit in 09. The 09 is the best of the three like others have stated. The 08 also had the deluxe gauge on the snopro just like the 09. The 08 model also had a titanium primary spring in the snopros, which I believe they did away with in 09 for some reason.
I would definetely NOT list the adjustable steering post as a positive. They are sloppy as hell after the first guy stands on it and makes vroom vroom noises on the showroom floor! Getting a fixed post is one of the reasons I picked up a standard model this season, along with wanting the coilover zero pro vs floats.
