I know two guys with 12 & 14k on their boosted m8's. I've had 5000 trouble free miles on mine.

Of the sleds I've had, my turbos have been the most trouble free.

Only downside imo, if something DOES go wrong, you've got more to go through to figure it out. Both mine have been pull & go, one buddy' is pull & go, and I know a few guys who did their own installs that took a long time to get them the way they wanted.

The reason I switched to a Cat was the motor. I have 2500 miles on mine all original except it has a new water pump seal. 2200 miles have been with the turbo on it. I looked at replacing the pistons last year but couldn't see any wear on them.

4000+ on mine and still going strong. Some of these 09 oringinal turbo's have TONS of miles on them.

Same as backcountry, the most reliable sleds I have ever owned. Bar none. Keep up on the routine maintenance and you're good to go. I wouldn't shy away from them for one minute.

realistic numbers, replace pistons at 2000 miles, they are out of round from the extra heat, at 4000 miles crank seals pistons and redo cylinders. i run up to 18 lbs. new reeds once a year or stock reeds max 700 miles.

Cutler stage II. Really like how the stage II M series kit worked, the PC kit is now more like BD, he uses 4 injector setups.

from the research i have done, it seems like BD is the way to go. i have not heard or read a whole lot about cutlers though. mainly looking for a pump gas boondocking setup.....nothing 250hp + for climbing....something simple and reliable.
