Has anyone installed one of these? Crappy snow conditions this year is causing me issues with overheating with my '16 Assault. Had it up to 200+ deg twice last weekend. Have been looking at these coolers for awhile and looking for feedback from anyone whose got one on an Axys. Thanks.

Yes, they do work great, but before you spend that kind of money, get some Ice Storm scratchers and try them first. I have them on my 16 Pro-RMK and really don't have heat-up issues unless the trail is basically ice. I believe Go Big Parts has them.

Now before you do any of that, pick up an old school Dragon era RMK snow flap. (says "the way out" on them). It makes a world of difference. No joke, first hand experience here. Holes will line up.

I installed the 5ft cooler. Helped a bunch. I personally like it a lot. Just don't have to spend all my ride watching the temp. I didn't try the flap first. I have heard that helps.

These work great. I have 2 identical sleds one with mtntk cooler and one without. The one with the extra cooler always runs much cooler on the trails. Usually about 30 degrees cooler on the trail. About the same temps in powder.

Great, thanks for the input. Better scratchers and longer snowflaps would help but not in low speed situations, which is where I'm having the biggest issues. What about the 3 footer vs the 5? Much difference?

I spent a lot of time trying to figure that out. In the end the weight and cost really isn't that different. I wanted to make sure it was fixed. Very happy I did. Go with the 5 ft IMO.
