i have the 5 flash code
and i can't seem to find how to clear it
does it have to be done by the dealer?
it came on after a complete rebuild

5 flashes is exhaust temp sensor, check to make sure you plugged it in. it will clear its self when the problem is fixed.

thanks for the info
i swaped out the probe with a friends today and took it for a 10 min rip
but the code still flashes on start up
can i test the probe
dose it produce voltige with rise in temp like a thermopile
or dose it change resistance like a thermistor

o and this was my first real ride on my 900 bought it this summer
i love it
dont get me wrong big trippples are cool but this thing rocks

if it still flashes after a 10 minute ride there is still a problem, broken wire or something. give me your email and i can send you a copy of the shop manual.


here is the code chart for 05

i will see if i can post up the test procedure in a few minutes

here is the test from the manual make sure you check your wires on the harness where you plug it in my brothers broke and you could hardly see it.
