Yes... the 2013/14/15 Quick Dissconnect connectors (QD's) are 90˚ fittings as opposed to the straight on the 2011/2012 models.

Also...Getting the filter on and off of the QD's is much easier if you have the type with the built in release tabs on them.

Dorman Produducts makes a line of these...

90˚ 5/16"x 5/16" at the tank, to the filter (Dorman # 800-123). Straight 5/16"x 5/16" at the filter from the tank (Dorman #800-116). And 90˚ 3/8" x 3/8" from the filter to the fuel rail line (DORMAN #800-125)

USE ONLY THE PROPER HOSE AND THE PROPER CLAMPS FOR THAT HOSE.
DO NOT RE-USE ANY FACTORY HOSE.

Hate to bring this back from the dead, but has anyone done this mod lately? Thinking about doing this when I swap the fuel filter on my 14.

Hi. I was just informed about the fuel filter issue on these sleds. I bought an '11 800 in the spring with 3000km on it. I would really like to mount a larger filter in a more sensible location so I can replace it less often and more easily.

I would really appreciate pictures of filter mounting locations!

Does anyone have any pictures of where you mounted this filter on the sled? It seems like its too big to fit reasonably in the old spot even with the bracket removed.

So for a 14 a person needs to purchase a fitting to go at the tank? But not the rail?
