99' extention

I have a 99' RMK 700 136"X1.75". How hard is it to extend to a 151"X 2.0"? I was told that there might not be enough clearance in the tunnel to go to the longer cleats. Also will the 700 have enough power to handle the added track? Sure runs great now but not enough track to handle the deeper snow where my buddies what to take me. Any advice about this would sure help. Thanks

If its a rmk it should have 8 tooth drivers and a 2" will work great . As for going to 151" track you will need rail extentions . Not hard at all just google rail extention and pick a company you like to buy from. The 700 has plenty power for the 151"x2"

you have plenty of room, make sure you get the tunnel extension for the 97-99 not the gen2 extension for the 00-01. I would geat it down to 19/41. great combo and it will be a great sled

I put that exact track on the same sled last year. Worked out well. Performs much better.

as long as it's not an XC you will be fine for clearance. I'm currently doing a 121 to 136 to 151 swap myself and by my measurements there was clearance in the front for a 2" even with 9 tooth. Only close spot is with the tunnel coolers.

Lots of room. I would run it a while with stock gearing. I ran stock all the way down to 18/41, and I liked stock the best with the 151". Next best mod for that sled is a cat roller secondary, straight 51 helix and cat yellow spring.

I am doing the same thing with a Tracks USA (Canadian distributer) extension kit. So far it is working out fine. Only advise is to make sure you are getting the right tunnel extension. I have just sent back the second wrong extension. Sent me the POL-136 when I need the POL-151.:beer;:beer;

I have 9 tooth drivers on my 1999 rmk. Do the sleds that come with 1.75" paddles come with these? I am going to try and put a 144 x 2.125" series iv on it next week. I hope there is enough room.

As long as its not an RMK you should be fine. I did it to my '99 a couple years ago and it works great. If youre really not sure go to a dealer in your area if you have one and just ask them.
