Northwest Glacier Cruisers Mount Baker Shoot Out is
March 11 2017 - The snow is good and we are parking and camping in the first parking lot. We will decide Tomorrow night at the Club meeting if we will have BBQ in the meadow or up on the mountain. The creek is open from the waterfall down, so we may not be able to get the groomer up to the Salad Bowl with our kitchen. The ice bridge is still intact but the trail up is not large enough for the groomer to get past the ice bridge due to the open creek. We understand most want it up there, but please try to understand our position. We will post the club decision tomorrow night. The weather report looks like we will be getting snow, so viability is better in the meadow.
We have Northwest Avalanche Center and the Wireless Beacon Rally with prizes for the participants
Skagit Valley Polaris, Lifestyles Honda/SkiDoo, Adventure Motorsports, Xtreme Motorworks, Ride Cascade will be there with demo sleds for you to try.
Our annual raffle drawing, BBQ and 50/50 Raffle will be held from
11-2. With the raffle drawings held at 2:00.
If you are camping please keep in mind that we must get everyone in the parking lot, so PLEASE park tight and be considerate to other campers and participants. We will have someone helping with parking. No hay or other organic materials are allowed per the US Forest Service. Do not block the trail or the road as the Groomer must get in and out to haul all of our gear up. It took two trips in and two trips out last year.
