Well I got this far and learned that my smaller air compressor will not keep up with my die grinder. I will fix it tomorrow with my roto zip out of my work truck.

Are the running board ends from an 09? Looks nice! How do they fasten to the outside edge?

Looks good, I like the finishing touch on the tunnel edge. Did you cut the running board traction yourself or use a kit? This is what I ended up doing with my little brother's sled. Had a CR extension for it but thought this looked cooler and it was something we did ourselves.
You guys with big bucks and big tools really need to learn to work the correct way. It goes like this: Work until the compressor draws down a ways. Wait for the compressor to rebuild pressure - usually about 1/2 a beer and a smoke. Grind some more. Wait some more - more beer and smokes, etc. :beer;
The gussets (end parts) arre 09 cat parts, About $9 each. I did all the cutting so far with a sawzall, but now it is down to the finishing I need to be a little more precise. The gussets slide into the rip rails, although I did have to grind them down to get them to fit. The 09 rip rails have a lot bigger hole. Then I will rivet them in. As for the traction/snow eliminators I cut that out myself also. they are cutler boards. If i had to do it all over again I would powder coat them first. The snow sticks to them pretty good. I still have to clean them off 2-3 times a day.

Is that just a piece of 1/8th" by what 2" aluminum flat bar? I like that track is it 2.5 or 3"

yes an a20 flipped
as for the inner support it is a piece of 2x1/8x36 flat stock, i put one on each side and it runs from the rear suspension bracket to the middle bolt for the rear bumper.

over 2200 miles last year and never even had a problem. the big trick I think is the drop brackets keep it from hitting the hose. the clamp can be an issue but i use the crimp rings and keep a spare clamp in my bag. I did keep some extra hose in the O'l pack for the first 1000 mile.
Just slide on some of that black nylon cross woven sheathing that is used to protect tubing etc... That ought to take the blunt of the blow from a rock or two! We use it all the time to protect contour turned 16RHR finish aircraft shafts.

i would do the support so you dont run into tunnel cracking like people haveing with the bdx bumper kit. thats why i went with van amburg

i do like how the soda on the rear gas rack was replace with a bud light..
you can get caps for the rear bumper from doo but they are about 3 bucks each....
