Clutch Noise??

I have a 2012 M8 Sno Pro. Last year I had a TEAM Clutch installed. While riding it this year I notice it making somewhat of a grinding noise (sounds like a turbo blow off valve). It normally makes this noise when I try to reverse it, or when I'm going at lower speeds. Any ideas of what it might be? Thanks in advance.

My 2016 makes a noise at low speeds also...haven't noticed it in reverse. What I believe mine is is the belt deflection adjuster on the secondary clutch which rides metal to metal when the sheaves are closed.

I noticed that my son's 2016 M6000 sounds like a turbo blow-off when cruising around. Local dealer says that the 16 clutches are just stupid noisy. Not sure if that applies to 2012 sleds.

There is no fix that I'm aware of...just metal on metal when the deflection adjuster is in against the other sheave.

There is a fix.
Remove the adjustment bolt and run an 18/19 primary with the correct belt.
No more noise.

How would you adjust deflection? Just curious, as I am not familiar with how the team clutch on the cat is setup. Is it like the team tss04 on Polaris?

I think they are similar.
With the roller bearing on the primary, u don't have belt deflection...

2019 clutches are expensive.

I found a better solution the first year I got my 2016: ignore it

So far so good.

never heard the end of it whether it was the primary or secondary but they shimmed the primary different in 17 and like that dealer said I think the 16s were more notorious for it. I took the deflection bolt out and rounded off the edges so it doesnt dig as hard into the plate inside and also keep the deflection in spec and mines been good. take it apart and flip the plate over if its gouged real deep. I don't think 18 clutches would be worth the coin on an already team clutched sled, just me.
