14 M8000 1500 miles hand warmer quit(left), 100.00 for a new one or close to that, can I just get an aftermarket and splice in the wires? Just wondering if that will be durable and hot enough. Any recommendations?

Just buy the whole new handlebar assembly. You get the new grips and the lightweight handlebars for around $140. Check out CountryCat for the part number.

RSI has plug n play. Also, good luck getting the grips off and be able to re-use them. Then check pricing, it's not that far off from new cat bars. I contemplated for minute and then just bought new bars. Everything is included.

Exactly. So new grip price, new grip heaters and you then are close in price to new Cat bars which have all that already installed. Loosen and remove a Couple bolts and you are good to go. Much easier is all I'm saying.

Put new hand warmers on my 2016 HCR,They wanted 100 a side seemed a little high, did some research and bought the warmers for a 2012 proclimb for 50 a side, dealer said they wouldn't work due to different resistance, put them on no issues at all.Cheapest way to go

New lighweight handlebar assembly p/n

p/n = 7639-489

for handlebar assembly with grip heaters and grips, complete like that. New 2018 bars and grips fits back to 2012 I think.

Just ordered from Country Cat for $135. Had to replace throttle block assy as well - had an argument with icy ridetop and a rollover.

Did my 2013 Proclimb RH side heater last week. Element was 25$ on eBay, with free shipping. Grip came off EZ, and reinstalled just as easy with grip cement. Whole thing including trouble shooting to make sure I had power.to the wires took less than an hour.
I dont get why one would replace the whole bar if heat element is all you need, that's like buying new trailer because the tires are worn out.

RSI heaters work really good. $69.99 for the pair and they plug right in and make more heat.

How did you get the grip off without damaging it?
Ive replaced the right hand side twice. By the time you get the new warmers and ripped/cut grips its nearly the price of new bars that are already loaded up with the heaters and grips.
