120 cat help

i have a 2001 120 and up till lately has been great sled.
it recently started to stay engaged even at idle.
so when its cold i have to lift the rear of sled off the ground to get it started, once its started its fine, it tries to crawl away from you still , but with a little weight it wont, however it makes starting it difficult, especially when cold.
anyone know anything about how these engage or what might the problem be?

Is it idling too fast? Maybe time to clean the carb?

Maybe it's the new M120!:lol:

Sounds like a spring broke in the clutch. The 120s have a mini-bike type clutch on them. If one of the springs broke it will let the clutch creep.

X2 check the clutch.
You can find clutchs pretty cheap.

I have a 2002 that I have had throttle cable issues on, also the choke has a tendency to stick on and the cable returns, but it crimps the end and causes issues with both high idle, and sometimes limits the top end as well. I ended up replacing both the throttle cable and choke cable and cured the issues. Tried lubing them first, but no luck. Now I lube them yearly and spray the carburator end of the linkage with lube to keep it moving free as well.

i figured it would get more attention here....

the idle does seem a little high, i will try and adjust it first.

I would check the float hieght in the carb and clean carb sounds like extra fuel when you start it.
