I just removed my 900ss motor and and installed a stock 700 in my firecat. I was taking it for a ride to see how close the clutching is and it runs like it is in retarding the timing mode. If you hold the throttle down it seems like it is going to blow up in the higher rpm range. I get it back to garage and pull pipe and the smell of fuel from the pipe is so bad it makes your eyes hurt. Not only that but the pipe is as hot as I have ever seen it. I was wondering if I missed a ground wire somewhere or if I am missing something in the install of the stock setup. This is blowing my mind because I believe it is something simple. Any help in this matter would be appreciated.
