I've. been riding an 08 Xp and had to up grade to a $90 dollar belt. Though I've been getting anywhere from 700- 1000 miles / belt I thought that was plenty to pay. Keep in mind that the 800 ptec & the 800 pro are comparable in hp. Why does it seem Polaris is gouging us. HELP anybody got some ideas short of sending hate mail to polaris. 180 dollar belt seems just a little Ridiculous!!!!!!! Holy smokes I can buy a semi tire for that with 100 times more material. Come on polaris this sucks.

What's wrong with running an aftermarket belt? Dayco, Carlisle? I think they sell a lot of belts under $100

The Cat 048 belt off the M-8 works well on the Pro. I've got 1,000+ miles on one. About $85

Also, assuming you don't have any alignment issues, the Pro is not a belt eater.

I wanna know where you were getting BRP belts for $90 for your XP, and what ones you were running.... More like $160-180 so the Polaris are right in line with the rest of them (And I ride an XP). Going from my MM ($60 belt) to the XP belt price shock was huge and they don't last anywhere near as long! But prices continue to go up, cause if you wanna play you're gonna pay and the companies know that.

Polaris belts are expensive, but usually last a season (if not longer). I came off an xp, so I'm used to paying for 2-3 belts a season, at $160 a pop.

I have a buddy that rides a 12 Cat; those belts he claims jumped in price to close to $200 bones too.

If you have the QD you'll have 2 belts to change.

According to the Polaris owner's manual, they recommend changing the belt at 2,000 miles; so what's the big deal. lol But this is what the owner's manual reads

get a G Force belt by Gates, made with Kevlar and will run you about $70. Wouldn't be surprised if they were the oem supplier... I haven't bought a stock belt in years, and yes they are raping you!!!

X2 - I use this belt on both Pro's (12 and 11). So far, very pleased. Ordered them online thru O'reilly's and were to my house in 3 days and no shipping.

According to the Gates.com online catalog there are three replacements for the stock 3211115 belt

G-Force: 44G4553
This is the basic, fabric reinforced rubber belt

G-Force C12 (Carbon): 44C4553
This is the Kevlar reinforced neoprene belt

Xtreme: 44X4640
This is a beefier version of the Kevlar belt. It's made with twisted Kevlar fibers (vs straight) and some rubber compounds they don't want to talk about in the catalog.
