We have many customers who are enticed by the idea of a piggyback boost controller. The main benefit of this type of controller is keeping your factory ECU stock.

Be careful if you are doing this to maintain warranty since overboost controllers will often leave a trace code and can still affect warranty.

The main reason I prefer an ECU reflash is we set the Timing tables to adjust while boost goes beyond factory limits gaining safety. Knock sensor function is also reprogrammed to go to the new rev limit of 9000. If excess engine noise is indicated boost will lower and more fuel will be added. There are many more areas that are changed but these are a few of the critical ones.

When getting a reflash make sure you do research on how the tune are working in conditions you ride. Make sure it is a company that is there for you after the sale.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.
