Stock Steering post slop

There is some movement when rocking the sled around. I actually like the way it is, it seems like the whole handlebar/post moves to the left if I'm pulling that way or to the right. I am concerned maybe that's not good for the steering system. I think I read where someone put zipties between the post and the collar to take up the slop. Anyone else have this slop and if so do you like it or if not what are you going to do about it?

oft racing has a new mount that removes all the slop..nice piece
 
I just noticed my steering post hits the heat shield (where the two halves join together) on the pipe at full turn. Can't tell if I will get anymore if I trim it off. It's a 17. Not a biggie. Never noticed it before. Anyone else?

take the hood off...remove bolt from stock block..install. oft block(2 bolts) then put hood back on..painless:face-icon-small-hap
