I just got my 18 X and when the steering post is straight with riser it feels much better than the xm did stock. I did run the post forward on the xm and loved it. Just curious if anyone has tried it on the G4 and what they thought?

Think you should ride it s few times before buying something just because it has a name stamped on it. Highly doubt you will need one.

This is the first snowmobile that i received out of the box and did absolutely no mods on and that means not even a can!!! I believe if they have the belt issue fixed this year we have a winner!!! so we shall see what this year brings and my vote boys is no modifications needed!!!!

The post forward might make the steering a bit flatter and feel nicer through a full swing. I for sure would not move may handlebar position though. At 6'2 I am a bit forward of straight up and down by about 2" at the top. Would it be nicer with a post forward maybe is it needed -- not really

This year I spend some extra cash on Zollinger spindles, to my reckoning that should have a more pronounced impact on handling --- will report back once I tried them.
