Please don't take this as an insult, guys. But don't you think you're maybe just overthinking this weight thing a little. I just came off an '06 900 RMK that worked awesome. That was after I had spent almost $6,000 light-weighting it. In the end it weighed about 465 lbs and was a lot of fun. Now I'm on a '12 Pro at about 438 dry and can honestly say the last thing I'm worried about is the weight of the headlight. I'm going to work on clutching, gearing, etc. and have fun. All the while, thinking of the thousands less I've spent vs. my 9.

that is a great question, the stock headlights are pretty bulky/heavy!
