Differences
05 will have PERC and probably a decompression hole. Carb jetting is differnet. Chassis has some minor improvements, most notably a different brake and chain case. The 05 800 had vertical escape trailing arms which were light weight, not sure if the 700s did too. Compession should be around 140 depending on your elevation and gauge. The 05 may read lower because of the decompression hole.
