Vector Or Rx-1

Looking at a couple of inexpensive sleds for dad to go with me to Cooke this year. He has been before a couple years back but sold the doo's.
I can buy a 03 rx-1 mtn. with 350 mi. on it, like new. $4100

Or a 05 Vector 650 mi. w/billet big wheels nice sled 151 track around $4900.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a boosted RX so am partial to yami's.

If you plan on boosting them,the Vector boosted is a better boondocker

a stock 03 RX1 is a pig. Skid sucked and you can find them for 3500.

Both those prices are a little on the high side

I think the Vector is a better way to go. '05 had the better skid.

another option would be to rent a sled for your dad's visit to Cooke. CC motorsports rents yamaha's, you'd need to call ahead to reserve a nytro

i run an 03 rx1 mtn that's 'tweaked' and i'm able to enjoy Cooke, but as you know a stock rx1 or vector is basically a heavy cross over sled and could become frustrating. yes cooke has big hills to climb but the boondocking and powder cruising is great and either sled bone stock may make it difficult to enjoy or make a guy down right tired
