Grinding Steering Stops

Has anyone done this to even up the steering on the 03.5's and earlier? I think the left hand stop was welded a little out of place! What did you use to grind? Or did you remove? The 04's and later were punched into the arm I do believe.

i use a cutoff wheel and cut them back to make the max turn out of the linkage. the factory stops are to short for side hilling.
