Will a 2 paddle fit on a 550 trail?

I am not sure if it will without changing drivers..but stock 6-7-8 drivers should make it a bolt in deal....I would gear it down a bunch for the bigger lug...

let me no how that works out cuz im doing the same to my 550 rmk! i measured it, its close but it should fit!

i got the same deal going on, 550 fam putting a 151 eith 2 inch lugs. anyone no what gear i should put in it and what sled them come on?

I put a 1.25 x 144 track on a 550 sled and it lost performance. Increased track sizes will preportionaly take away from the sled's operating characteristics (maybe even those you like). Gearing down to keep engine rpm up to pull the heavier load will decrease track speed - remember we are talking about a 6,800 max rpm engine. So hopfully you guys are building for slow speed floatation because that is all you will obtain - similar to the 010 Ski Doo Tundras. we have 2 99 RMK 550 trails. the one I have had for years had a 1 1/2 x136 track and I put a 2 inch 136 on it and I love it. geared it down one on the top. we just got another 99 550 and it has a 1 1/2 136 that will be getting a 2 inch very soon. I have got that sled places where guys want me to pop the hood just to see the fan engine lol. remember the 99 550 has a few more HP than the 2000. 4-5 hp but not a biggie. do it and you will love it. before I change the 1 1/2 track im going to high mark them both to compare side be side at xmas. will get back to you with a full report lol. till then
my boss has one with a 151 on it's piped. I would gear down for sure. 19/41 or 19/42 maybe even a 18/41.
